Meehan Named to Key Ways & Means Tax Policy Panel
WASHINGTON – Congressman Patrick Meehan (PA-07) today was named to the House Ways and Means’ influential Subcommittee on Tax Policy. The committee’s Tax Policy subpanel is responsible for reviewing and analyzing a broad array of federal tax provisions as directed by the full committee chairman.
Meehan will continue to serve on the Ways and Means Committee’s Trade and Oversight Subcommittees.
“As the debate over a comprehensive reform of our broken tax code continues, the Tax Policy Subcommittee will have a unique ability to assess and evaluate some of the most important provisions in the tax code,” said Congressman Meehan. “The tax reform debate has tremendous implications for job growth in southeastern Pennsylvania, and this will give our region an even greater voice in these discussions going forward.”
“I’m looking forward to working alongside Chairman Roskam and the other members of the Tax Policy subcommittee as we reform our tax code and put middle class Americans back to work.”
